Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 1, 2025  |  thebodythrivecoach.com

1. Introduction

The Body Thrive Coach, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our clients and website visitors. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected in connection with our services, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.

Please read this policy carefully. By using our website or booking our services, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described below.

2. Information Collected on This Website

The Body Thrive Coach website (thebodythrivecoach.com) does not directly collect personal information from visitors. We do not operate contact forms, email opt-ins, or user accounts on this site that gather personal data.

Standard server log data (such as IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited) may be recorded automatically by our hosting provider solely for security and performance purposes. This data is not used to identify individual visitors.

3. Scheduling Services & Third-Party Data Collection

Appointment booking is handled through Acuity Scheduling, a product of Squarespace, Inc. When you book an appointment or complete an intake form through our scheduling link, the following information may be collected by Acuity/Squarespace on our behalf:

  • Personal Identifiers: Your name, email address, and phone number.
  • Appointment Details: Dates, times, and types of services selected.
  • Intake Form Data: Any information or files you provide during the booking process.
  • Payment Information: If payment is processed at booking, Acuity/Squarespace facilitates the transaction via integrated payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, or Square). Sensitive payment card data is handled directly by those processors and is not stored by us.
  • Technical Data: IP addresses, browser type, and cookie data used to operate the scheduling page.

Role of Acuity/Squarespace: For data submitted through our scheduling system, Acuity/Squarespace acts as a Data Processor — meaning they process your information only on our behalf and according to our instructions.

Your use of our scheduling system is subject to the Squarespace Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review that policy to understand how your data is handled.

If your jurisdiction requires compliance with GDPR or similar regulations, please note that Squarespace maintains a Data Processing Addendum (DPA) providing additional contractual protections for data processed on your behalf.

4. How We Use Your Information

Information collected through our scheduling partner is used solely to:

  • Confirm, manage, and fulfill your coaching appointments.
  • Communicate with you regarding your bookings or services.
  • Process payments when applicable.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes.

5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Our website itself does not deploy first-party cookies or tracking pixels. However, third-party tools embedded in or linked from our site — including the Acuity Scheduling system — may use cookies to enable functionality, remember preferences, and gather analytics. You may control cookie preferences through your browser settings.

6. California Residents — Your Privacy Rights

CCPA / CPRA

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) grant you the following rights regarding personal information we hold about you:

  • Right to Object: Object to processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.
  • Rights Related to Automated Decision-Making: We do not engage in automated decision-making or profiling.

Our legal basis for processing personal data submitted through our scheduling system is the performance of a contract (i.e., providing the coaching services you have requested) and, where applicable, your consent.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. To submit a request directly to us, please contact our Privacy Officer as described in Section 9.

As noted in Section 3, Squarespace maintains a Data Processing Addendum (DPA) covering the data processed through Acuity Scheduling. Please refer to the Squarespace Privacy Policy for details.
