About Karola Crawford

Breaking the Cycle

Karola came from a family where her mom, grandmother and great grandmother all struggled with diabetes, obesity and arthritis. She decided early on that this would not be her path.

At 19 she began running despite having asthma. She started slow, but quickly got faster and it wasn’t easy. She kept going. When she crossed the finish line of her first marathon, something extraordinary happened: The asthma was gone.

That moment changed everything and she realized the body is designed to heal when we give it the right support.

She changed the way that she ate and changed the way that she lived. She refused to inherit the blood sugar struggles that her family had to endure.

Yet life had more to teach her. Years later she faced cancer. During that battle she also discovered she has celiac disease, a genetic autoimmune condition that had been causing joint pain, stiffness, abdominal discomfort, Sjogren’s syndrome and brain fog. There were moments of fear, frustration and exhaustion. But she never stopped believing that her body could rebuild and she was back to work in record time.

Today she wakes up with energy, feels strong , clever and capable. At 69, instead of retiring, Karola returned to school and launched her own business. After decades of study and personal transformation, she felt called to share what she had learned, so others could reclaim their health and thrive.

She Lives What She Teaches

She practices HIIT training, lifts weights regularly, walks at least 10,000 steps daily, prepares whole, organic meals at home, makes time for community, and prioritizes meditation and her faith. She is an active Biohacker.

Education & Professional Background

Karola has been a Registered Nurse for over 30 years, with experience spanning medical and psychiatric nursing, acupuncture settings, and travel nursing assignments across California, Missouri, Arizona and Florida. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Graceland University and has worked with both adults and children throughout her career.

Over time, she recognized that prescriptions alone do not restore lasting health. That insight led her to pursue advanced training in functional medicine. She graduated from the Functional Medicine Academy and now specializes in root-cause strategies that address inflammation, metabolic imbalance, autoimmune conditions and stress-related illness.

Karola has been a Reiki practitioner since 1989 and is a certified clinical herbalist. She believes meditation is essential for a healthy life. She authored a copyright, cross-referenced herbal reference guide and has contributed writing to publications including Around Wellington magazine. She is also an artist and paints oil paintings in her spare time.

An avid biohacker, Karola continually studies and applies emerging, evidence-informed strategies to optimize strength, longevity, cognitive clarity, and metabolic resilience - personally and professionally. She believes the body is designed to heal when given the right tools, environment and support.

Her work integrates clinical nursing expertise, functional medicine science, holistic modalities, and a faith-centered respect for the body’s innate design.

True transformation happens when clinical strategy meets personal commitment. If you’re ready to do the work, I’m ready to walk beside you.
